  • Waxing Faq

To recieve the best wax possible the hair needs to be at least a half inch long or two weeks worth of hair growth. This is espcially true for brazilian and leg waxing. It’s a good idea to do a salt scrub on the area being waxed the day before to remove dead skin cells in preparation.

Avoid hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, and swimming for 48 after your wax. Also avoid tight clothing for 48 hours to avoid irritation.

Keep the area clean daily and avoid lotions or creams for a few days. Avoid tanning beds.

For best results use a product designed for waxing to avoid ingrowns, irritation and help with sensitive skin.

Waxing last anywhere from 4-6 weeks. The skin will stay smooth for two weeks and then you will start to see new hair growth. By the time 4 weeks comes again, the hair that’s there will be long enough to wax. It’s not recommended to shave between waxes.

  • Brazilian Waxes

A brazilian wax removes all pelvic area hair. You may also include removing hair from the backside. It’s possible to leave a patch or strip of hair also.

We wear gloves for body waxing services and never double dip while waxing. Piper uses strict standards set by the TN board of cosmetology for sanitation.

For our brazilian waxes we use a hard wax from Paris that is very high quality and great for senstive skin. Hard wax is a lower temperature wax that shrink wraps the hair and doesn’t lift skin. Soft wax is used on the face and larger areas of the body, legs, back, arms, ect.

Piper has been doing brazilian waxes since 2007 in Nashville and her experience shows in her pain minimizing technique.
